As I sit here in a hotel in Philly I check the guestbook to see what is going on. I first want to say here, here to all the alumni brothers who have contributed so far to the initial plight of the chapter and the current solid state we are now in. If not for the rally cry from a number of us, Delta Zeta may have been doomed. Kudos to the current Chapter brothers for having the stones to admit an issue, ask for help and put the cashish towards the proper channels. Let's keep the rally going and see what kind of reserve we can build up over and beyond what we have now. Not just for a great 50th, but for the continued longevity of the only Fraternity on HPU campus.

I look forward to seeing a few of you alums at Baldy's(Combs') wedding this weekend in Wilmington.

One last thing, I am in a C-Store in Wilmington this weekend. I see a kid with a sig hat on. I ask him if he has ever been a sailor. He asks me where I was a brother. I said at this little school called High Point College. He says that is where we go!!!...as they walk out with a couple of cases of beer at 10:15 in the morning. Made me proud. He knew who I was and thanked all of us(alumni) for the help and support. Small world. What up Joe and Mike!

Comment(s): sailors this year is in a 10 bedroom house about 100 yards off the beach. We have our own pool, volleyball and basketball courts, grills and plenty of tail to go around. The address is 6th avenenue south, which is located right off Ocean Drive, North Myrtle. There should be plenty of hotels within walking distance if any alumni are intersted.

Comment(s): G: I graduate five years ago but have came back and visited a couple of times. I think HPU is the perfect size...small and intimate still, but it has plenty of opportunities to provide a well-rounded college experience. The campus in no way looks like it did in 1974 much less in 2000.

I personally would go to WVU - home of the 2006 pre-season No. 1 football team and eventual national champions. Oh yeah, they also have a pretty good b-ball team - # 11.

Comment(s): I graduated from HPC in 1974. My son has been accepted to HPU for the fall of 2006. I realize that HPU is not the sleepy little college that I attended. I would like to know from anyone who would care to answer, if they had it to do over again, would they still attend HPU. Do you now find it too big? What about safety? Do the faculty really care? Are activities adequate to keep you busy while there? Overall, how is or has your experience been?
