Comment(s): Not once on this message board have I seen anything about the current problems the chapter has faced this past semester and how they can go about changing it. Financial problems are just the tip of the iceburg, especially when they're looking to protect most of their brothers by not making them take responsibility for their actions. (see why a bunch of brothers moved out of the new houses) Once the leadership gets changes, I see a bright future for the chapter, until then, its just going to continue to be the same old bullshit. Stop being your brothers keeper and be your brothers brother. Sometimes that means letting them fail to learn a lesson.

Comment(s): It seems to me that all you are doing is pointing the blame on other people as to why you are getting screwed by nationals, trust me I did the same thing when I was there. But that didn't solve the problem then and it doesn't look like it is solving it now. I know that you are tired of hearing about how you should get a fundrasier started, but what is the big deal. As the "concerned brother" pointed out the fraternity is a business and so treat it as one and get it out of the red.
Then again it seems that you all are to lazy to take any advice. Just remember 50th is just around the corner (I know that most of you can't think that far ahead). But you should start to get money and ideas for it now. Because there are going to be a lot of pissed off alumni if either there isnt a fraternity to throw a 50th or you have it in the fraternity apartments because you have no money to throw it.

These dues are not just this semester, some are as old as 2 YEARS!
I have seen too many people slide by while I bust my ass to pay dues and extra money I have paid to make up for their debt.
Nationals is not fucking around, as far as their names being posted, you guys might be right, but its hard to take care of your problems "in-house" when these cowards are hiding from you.
As far as the Fraternity being viewed as a business, Nationals looks at it that way and has given us deadlines, therefore to solve this problem we have to run this like a business or we are FUCKED! I have been here as long as any current brother so I know I am not over reacting. MONEY TALKS AND BULLSHIT WALKS.

From my memory, Brother Martin is an excellent singer, especially when he gets all dressed up...have him throw a concert and sing..."she thinks my tractor's sexy..." Plus, I'm not so sure it's a great idea giving their names out on the website. What are you guys doing with the money if everyone else is paying? Unfortunately, I can't recall a time when every brother paid their dues...but there was always enough money to send to nationals (usually). Figure something out...Alumni donations should not be given to subsidize current brothers' dues, but to raise money for other noble causes, Sailors, attracting hot co-eds to Homecoming next year, etc.

The old fraternity house has been knocked down and the new one is in the process of being built. Everything was saved from the old house and is safely stored away in my apartment and storage. Also, while cleaning out the old house we found some interesting items: the original news paper from when the NDM club officially became the Delta Zeta chapter in "57. We also found a picture with the founding fathers. Both were in great condition and were framed to be displayed in the brand new house. Comment(s): To let everyone know, Rush week is the week of the 27th. We have a good number of guys interested in pledging our fraternity. So we will find out this week but we are in good shape. The fraternity house is going to be knocked down within the next couple weeks. We are trying to get the most out of it while we can. While that is a bit of a sad note, we have a good number of guys coming out for rush so we are all excited about that. Any suggestions or comments, let us know.
